Blond Capuchin Monkey Project
In partnership with the Paraíba State Secretariat for Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS-PB), Rapid Reforest is leading an important reforestation project in the state of Paraíba.
Atlantic Forest Reforestation
In partnership with the Paraíba State Secretariat for Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS-PB), Rapid Reforest is leading a reforestation project to restore 88 hectares of degraded land in Mamanguape, Paraíba. The goal is to plant 80,000 native trees, revitalizing an essential stretch of the Atlantic Forest — one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet.
The project protects and rebuilds the habitat of the blond capuchin monkey (Sapajus flavius), a critically endangered species found only in this region. By reconnecting forest fragments and creating ecological corridors, we aim to ensure its survival and strengthen the local ecosystem.
In addition to restoring biodiversity, the new forests will act as carbon sinks, helping combat climate change and promoting a greener, more resilient future for generations to come.
Strategic Partnerships
Our reforestation project is built on strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
We work alongside the Paraíba State Secretariat for Environment (SEMAS-PB), which provides technical and institutional support, and AFINK, an organization specializing in community-based reforestation and environmental conservation.
Indigenous and Quilombola communities participate actively, ensuring that every action is sustainable, inclusive, and culturally respectful.
Together, these partnerships strengthen ecosystem restoration, protect endangered species, and help build a greener future.
